XXVII - To the Gate

At the gate of the Promenade, a beggar held out his hand. José Dias passed on, but I thought about Capitú and the seminary, I took two vintens out of my pocket and gave them to the beggar. He kissed the coin; I asked him to pray to God for me so that I could fulfill all my desires.

-Yes, my devotee!

"Let me tell you, Benedict, I came back to enlighten you."
