Barnaby Rudge - A Tale of the Riots of 'Eighty (1841) was one of two novels originally serialized in Dickens' weekly serial Master Humphrey's Clock. The Old Curiosity Shop was the other novel that appeared in that weekly.

Barnaby Rudge - A Tale of the Riots of 'Eighty has historical inspiration and was based on the Gordon Riots of 1781. Dickens' raven inspired Edgar Allan Poe's most famous poem, The Raven (1845).
